Favorite fall T.V. shows are about to begin their new seasons, and there is a lot to look forward to. Not only are there new faces on popular fall shows, but there are new shows popping up during this anticipated T.V. season.

PUSHING DAISIES
This whimsical new ABC series is centered around a baker, Ned, played by actor Lee Pace, who can bring the dead back to life with a simple touch. But once Ned touches the individual again – they are dead for good.

Though Ned resuscitates the victims long enough to find out who the culprit was in order to reap a tidy reward, the show takes a twist as Ned happens to bring his childhood crush, Chuck played by actress Anna Friel, back to life only to live out a ‘soul-mate match’ that is doomed. If they touch, even once, she’s dead.

(Season premieres Oct. 3.)

GOSSIP GIRL
Starring a cast of young and attractive people, The CW’s “Gossip Girl” can be best described as yet another branch of “The O.C.” This series, based on Cecily von Ziegesar’s best-selling books, is a peek into the lives of high school teens with too much money and nearly impossible interpersonal issues.

The characters range from the typical high school “bad boy” Chuck Bass played by actor Ed Westwick to the “preppy it-girl” Serena van der Woodsen played by actress Blake Lively.

*(Season premiered Sept. 19.) first episode re-runs will probably happen.

CAVEMEN
This quirky ABC series is partly based on the infamous GEICO advertisements that portray the plight of three contemporary cave-men trying to make it in the modern world.

Though the series is going for the offbeat material people seem to have an appetite for these days, critics have slammed the show for their goofy take on racial stereotyping, comedy or cave-man extinction – you be the judge.

(Season premieres Oct. 2.)

THE NEXT GREAT AMERICAN BAND
FOX has revealed their latest in the reality musician saga with “The Next Great American Band.” “American Idol” creators turn their focus to American bands: 60 groups jam in Las Vegas, NV only to be cut down to the ‘Top-10’ with a final trip and finale in Los Angeles, CA.
America will vote and eliminate one group each week with the winning band landing a contract with ’19 Recordings’, the company that currently handles Kelly Clarkson. With a group of colorful judges and a variety of band genres, this show could make it big with ‘Idol’ fans across the Nation.
