This column is an attempt to capture some of the more comical and unique incidents of APU campus life.

PIT STOP
While patrolling the area an officer observed a group of juveniles walking through campus near Cougar Walk. Officers made contact with six individuals in the group and asked them what they were doing on campus. They advised that they were looking for a bathroom. Officers informed them that they were on private property and had to leave. The subjects were compliant and left west bound on University Drive toward Citrus.

NOT QUITE HOME-COOKED
A computer fire alarm sounded, reading that there was a smoke detector activation on the second floor south wing of Trinity Hall. Officers responded to the area and found that an unknown person burned an item in the lobby microwave causing the hallway to fill with smoke. Officers were able to grant re-entry into the building with the exception of the second floor south wing, which was still filled with smoke. Custodial services were contacted and cleared the smoke.
