“How do you live for the moment when the moment could care less?” an impassioned voice asked listeners on Wednesday, March 4 at the Hotel Café in Los Angeles.

For musician and soul-singer Chris Pierce, life is about making the most of what you have.

“Make the most of all the beautiful things that you have,” Pierce said. “Make the most of your heart, mind, soul and spirit.”

A Claremont, Calif. native, Pierce is humble and hardworking.

“My faith in God is the foundation of everything creative I’ve ever done,” Pierce said. “Hard work has a funny way of making you feel [both] defeated and
triumphant.”

Pierce encourages listeners to look “struggle” straight in the eye.

“If you can’t handle getting knocked down, then you won’t be able to handle all the good things that come to you,” Pierce said.

With his expressive vibrato and thought-provoking lyrics, Pierce inspired, motivated and encouraged listeners as he performed a tasteful set at Hotel Cafe.

From his delicate fingerstyle to his potent rhythms, the audience listened attentively to Pierce’s diverse set. The intimacy of the venue allowed his timeless music to shine.

Pierce’s passion for music spoke volumes to the audience. While tapping their toes, listeners put on their thinking caps to ponder the messages behind the
music.

For Pierce, music has always been a place of refuge and an unconditional friend.

“It’s a place where I can go to feel like there is safety in the triumphs and defeats, hard times and low times,” Pierce said. “Music is an irreplaceable friend that will always take me in, have time for me and listen to what I have to say.”

Pierce’s latest release Walking on the Earth, burns with rhythm and soul. An organic brew of virtuous lyrics and heart-warming passion, Pierce’s music enlivens and inspirits listeners.
