ABOUT THE CLAUSE
The Clause is a 16 page tabloid size newspaper published weekly by students in the Department of Communication Studies at Azusa Pacific University. The Clause readership includes more than 3,000 undergraduates; 3,000 graduates and 400 faculty and staff members.
POLICIES
The Clause reserves the right to refuse or cancel advertisements if it is determined to be misleading, in bad taste, fradulent, or otherwise determined unacceptable by the publisher. The Clause will not accept advertising for alcholic beverages, tabacco products, feminine hygiene products and/or contraceptives. All political and cause advertisements must be paid in advance of publication and carry all information required by law.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
All new credit accounts will be required to pay in advance until satisfactory credit is established. Tear sheets, proof of publication, and an advertising invoice are sent within five working days of the date of publication. All bills are payable upon presentation and become deliquent after 30 days at which point they are subject to a $50.00 fee. All checks and money orders should be made payable to: Azusa Pacific University, The Clause.
DESIGN FEES
A design fee of $1.50 per column inch is added to the cost of an advertisement when it requires graphic design or layout to prepare it for insertion. ($10 minimum).
COLOR AND SPECIAL PLACEMENT
The Clause offers color & special placement as an additional means of drawing attention to your advertisement. The addition of color to an ad increases the total cost by $1.50 per column inch. Special placement is guaranteed only by an additional payment of $25.00 per insertion. Space is limited, placement reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
DEADLINES
Reservations for ad space are required by Tuesday at 5 p.m. the week the ad will run. Ads to be designed need to be submitted by Monday at 5 p.m.
ADVERTISEMENT SUBMISSION
Digital advertisement can be submitted to The Clause in the following formats: .TIF, .JPG, .EPS, .AI, or .PDF. All files should be sized at %100 of insertion size and 300 dpi. All files should be emailed to clause@apu.edu.
